Chaika Festival Orchestra Workshops

The VEGREVILLE PYSANKA FESTIVAL will be sponsoring Orchestral Music Workshops July 2,3, and 4th , 2010 during the run of this years 3 day Ukrainian festival.

Interested musicians who are able to read music are invited to register, bring your instrument and join with other musicians to play arrangements of Ukrainian Folk, Popular and Contemporary pieces.

All players must be able to read music and have at least 2 to 3 years of experience and a respectable command of their instrument. Most String, Wind, Brass, Percussion, and Folk instruments.....tsymbaly, sopilka, accordian, violin, viola, cello, double base, mandolin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, keyboard, percussion, etc., will be accepted.

Since 2001 CHAIKA has performed at many communtiy functions and for notable personalities. Over the years many players have performed with CHAIKA ORCHESTRA.

CHAIKA ORCHESTRA provides players with a great opportunity to use their tremendous skills, to meet and work with network of other musicians, in a non-competitive situation, to experience Ukrainian music in a larger orchestral setting.

There is no fee for the workshops but you must register by June 21th 2010 and get more information, scores, and details by contacting us.
