FOLK MUSIC OPEN STAGE

PRESENTATIONS

The Vegreville Pysanka Festival invites you to be a part of the festivities...and encourages anyone and everyone wanting to perform.... amateur or professional, beginner or experienced, Ukrainian music performers, soloists, duos, trios, groups ...... to come out, and very casually and informally, play and/or sing Ukrainian folk songs at various locations on the Festival grounds during the 3 day Festival....perform by yourself, or join in with others, show your skills and pride, and share in the spirit of a true live Ukrainian Festival.

The performance must be Ukrainian music, songs, recitations, instrumental or vocal, to create an atmosphere that reflects the purpose of this Ukrainian Festival. You may play at any time of the day, for any length of time, but some limits may be required if there are too many performers wanting to participate, or limited sites available. If the weather is unpleasant, space may be limited, we may have to limit the times.

There is no fee to be a part of this. You may put a hat or a case down for donations, while you are performing, but you may not sell anything in these areas. You may not interfere with any other nearby activity or people. You may choose to wear traditional or period Ukrainian costumes.

If any situations that require arbitration should arise the outcomes of these situations will be determined by the Festival Committee personnel.
