John Moroz Biography

Over 25 years ago, I experienced the unmistakable spirit and energy that is the Ukrainian Pysanka Folk Festival. As a young boy with my parents in hand, I still remember the first time I heard Ron Cahute & Burya on the festival grandstand stage. This experience along with years of seeing so many talented artists has profoundly shaped my passion of Ukrainian music and my love and unwavering pride of my Ukrainian culture.

From my days as a member of Vegreville's very own Trubka to present day Kalabai, I have had the privledge of performing for audiences across North Ameria. But performing for the Pysanka Festival audience has always been a home coming of sorts and as Master of Ceremonies of this years festival, it will be my privledge to navigate you throughout the weekends outstanding grandstand performances.
