WISHART HOPAK DANCERS

The Wishart Hopak Senior Dancers range in are from 14-46.  These dancers travel over 60 to as much as 250 miles each weekend from eight different towns to be able to dance with this group.  The dancers have been under the artistic direction of Dwayne and Brenda Prokopetz of White City for the past 23 years.  Dwayne's dances are known for movement, color and strong choreography, and they still believe in the "TRADITIONAL" style of Ukrainian dancing.

 The Hopak Dancers perform at home in Wishart, and are guest performers at the Foam Lake Veselka Festival.  They performed at Canada's National Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin, and have graced the stages out of the country in Disneyworld, Florida, and Ukraine in 2008.  They have once again been invited to entertain the crowds in their homeland of Ukraine in 2011.

 They are so excited to have been invited back to perform at the Pysanka Festival in Vegreville, and hope you enjoy their performance.
