Peace River Muzyka Dancers was a vision set in motion by a small group of women who wanted to bring Ukrainian culture to the Peace River area. In 1975, this group of ladies found Brenda Muzyka who would travel weekly from Edmonton via bus to instruct dance and costume making.

Peace River Muzyka dancers has been part of Peace River ever since, and is still run by hard working parent volunteers. The community based non-profit recreational Ukrainian dance club's objective is to encourage the development and expression of Ukrainian culture as an integral part of Canadian life. We promote a Ukrainian cultural experience for dancers, their families and the community through the sharing of dance, food, and music. Dancers range in age from three to adult. Excited to be performing at the 51st Pysanka Festival are members of Peace River Muzyka Dancers oldest youth group, soloists and enrichment group.
