With deep Canadian-Ukrainian roots and a passion for traditional Ukrainian music, the ZIRKA band from the Greater Toronto Hamilton area, continually strives to create a distinctive lively zabava sound that pleases listeners of all ages. ZIRKA loves to entertain, to create a party atmosphere and to have fun! The band looks forward to bringing that special “energy” to this year’s festival. In 2021, ZIRKA recorded a new CD- “This is Us”! In 2022, ZIRKA released 5 new videos. The members of ZIRKA are: Morris Hucal (lead vocals, accordion), John Hucal (trumpet, vocals), Katherine Hucal (saxophones, vocals), Karen Aniol (violin, vocals), Bill Hawryschuk (drums) and Yurko Mychaluk (guitar, vocals). ZIRKA will feature Andy Gordon (drums) and Ryan Pugh (guitar and vocals) this weekend.
