Polka Ramblers & Travis Dolter
Band Showcase
Saturday July 2

The Polka Ramblers have been sharing their traditional family favourites with audiences for many years. They have performed for numerous Weddings, Dances, Malanka’s and Festivals including U-Fest, the Annual Ukrainian Village Music Fest, and several Pysanka Festivals. They are excited to entertain you this year for the 49th Annual Pysanka Festival.

Sylvia Kupka grew up near Lavoy, AB and began her musical journey when she was 11. Through the years she played with several bands, before joining the Meadowlarks full time. She eagerly shared her talents and passion for music with her children, thus forming the Polka Ramblers band in 1978. This passion flowed through to her grandchildren as well.

Over time, the Polka Ramblers became a 3-generation band consisting of Sylvia (Accordion & Vocals), daughter - Shelley Dolter (Saxophone, Violin and Vocals), and grandson - Travis Dolter (Guitar & Vocals). On occasion, granddaughter – Shaelyn Dolter, joins in with vocals. Completing the family band is Panko Chrunik (Guitar, Vocals and Bass) and Steven Gowda (Drums).

Travis gained confidence and charisma on stage from a young age, as he was only 6 when he joined the family band. Travis is now an accomplished country singer-songwriter and recording artist, known for his energy, positivity, and witty sense of humour. Travis regularly performs as a 5-piece band at festivals, theatres, and dances. His music is available on all streaming services or at www.travisdolter.com.

Travis proudly shares his Ukrainian Canadian heritage in his band as well as by setting time aside for performances with the Polka Ramblers.

The Polka Ramblers have 4 CD’s available including - Generations of Music, featuring Sylvia’s grandchildren! The Polka Ramblers would like to see you smiling, singing, and dancing along as they perform!
