GUIDELINES:
Eligibility

Nominees must be Ukrainian Canadian musicians who have significantly contributed to Ukrainian music, have a strong connection to Alberta through residence, performance history, or cultural influence, and made recognized contributions to the Ukrainian music community for at least 10 years.

Nominees can be living or deceased.
Music Submission Requirements

Provide a minimum of 3 songs for review.

Acceptable formats:CD, LP vinyl album, cassette tape, online links (YouTube), mp3 files.

Submitted media becomes the property of the Vegreville Cultural Association.
Biography

Attach a biography of the nominee that includes details of:

Performances
-
Career highlights
-
Contributions to community or genre
-
Supporting materials (articles, letters of support, etc.)

This biography may be used in the Pysanka Festival souvenir program, website, and social media.
Photograph

Attach a photo of the nominee

OR email a digital JPEG/PDF to info@pysankafestival.com
Award Presentation
-
Presented at the Opening Ceremony of the Vegreville Ukrainian Pysanka Festival (typically Friday at 2:00 PM).

Living Inductee: must be present and willing to give a short performance.

Posthumous Inductee: family must provide a song in one of the acceptable formats listed above.
Nomination Deadline

Nominations accepted until January 31st each year.

Unsuccessful nominations are automatically carried forward to future years, provided media is retained by the Association.
Committee Decision
-
All decisions of the appointed committee are final.
