BREAD BAKING

BREAD BAKING is done by the Peech. This is a great demonstration for our young generations to see how the pioneers baked their bread.


The peech was also used for cooking everything that was prepared for small and large functions in the pioneer days.

STONE MILL

The first step in bread baking starts at the STONE MILL, with wheat being first ground in a stone grinding mill.


Come watch how grain flow of the stone mill is adjusted and learn how to check the fineness of the mill’s flour.

Stop by to see our Blacksmiths’ displays and demonstrations at our BLACKSMITH SHOP.


Check out the Blacksmith displays, demonstrations, and learn some secrets about this interesting trade.

LEATHERWORKING

Various aspects of traditional Leatherworking will be demonstrated by Sky Hoffos: artistic and western leather tooling, stitching, lacing, and other leather works. 

Items made out of leather, include horse tack, belts, bags, wallets, bracelets, and anything in between, 

Sky Hoffos will be selling items directly from the stand, and will be available for custom commissions and orders.

ROPE MAKING

A popular exhibit where you can see how rope is made using twine.  Perhaps you can try making your own rope? Ralph Smith will be available to help you make yourself a rope.
