Ukrainian Connection

Throughout the years, both Walter Kyliuk and Norman Woytowich played with various bands at many functions. In 2002, they formed The Ukrainian Connection Band which backed legendary Ukrainian musicians Mickey & Bunny on tours throughout western Canada for the next three years. During this time, the band recorded four albums.

Their first album, released in 2003 was the top selling album in Saskatchewan that year.

Ukrainian Connection played for many events over the years, including the National Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin, Vegreville Pysanka Festival, Ukrainian Festival in Lac La Biche, Vesna Festival in Saskatoon, and Malankas in Prince Albert, Lloydminster and many others.

Walter and Norman were awarded the Legendary Achievement Award at the Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin in 2010 and were inducted into the Ukrainian Musician Association Hall of Fame.

Their music is played regularly on the Saturday Night Dance Party CJWW Radio Station in Saskatoon.

Following COVID, they are back entertaining at various functions.
